A wearable lava lamp. 425 LEDs in a five-tier pyramid behind laser-cut acrylic, running a live fluid simulation. The blobs rise, sink, merge & tear apart on their own; nothing is a recorded loop. By redactd.

Features

• Lava that behaves like lava: blobs form in a heated pool, pinch off, rise, cool at the top, and sink back in. Two blobs can merge into a bigger one. Big ones split.
• 9 animations: fluid smoke, a whirlpool paint mixer, wave interference, plasma, comets, and more
• 27 color palettes
• No buttons. The badge is the button: tap the logo on the back for the next animation, tap the front face for the next palette
• An easter egg or two
• Serial console over USB-C: pick animations, set brightness, check the battery from any terminal at 115200 baud
• Battery aware: dims as the CR123A drains, shows a red battery icon when it's time for a fresh cell
